About this place
A collection of around 400 whiskies covering Scotland, Canada, Japan, Ireland, and the United States lines the shelves at Bar Minato, immediately catching the eye upon arrival in Kagurazaka. Guests can compare different bottlings, enjoy a crisp Cutty Sark highball, or order standard cocktails like a gin and tonic crafted to suit the mood of the evening. The house mojito, blended with fresh mint into a smoothie-like texture, is favored for its vibrant aromatics and refreshing palate.
The food menu supporting the drinks reflects genuine kitchen care rarely expected of a bar. Prepared without added water using wine and Calvados, the 100% domestic beef curry—limited to 6 servings—and the signature dashi-scented, fluffy okonomiyaki savory pancake offer substantial sustenance. Offerings range from house-made raisin butter flavored with rum and Cointreau, to spiced chili beans, to a warm homemade apple pie served with cold vanilla ice cream, bridging small nibbles and dessert.
Counter seating and sofas are arranged throughout the interior, creating a calm backdrop for unhurried sipping. The bar stays open until 2:00 from Tuesday through Friday and until 24:00 on Saturdays. Reservations and credit cards are accepted, making it a convenient stop to wrap up an evening stroll through the neighborhood.
